COVID-19

“Like most of you, here at Spearfish, we have been staggered by the scale and speed of the COVID19 Pandemic. As a small agile business, we have been able to put in place a rapid response to ensure our teams can continue to work effectively.

Our overriding aim is to keep our staff, their families, and our clients as safe as possible through robust risk management and effective crisis response. Our day to day consultancy operations remain active, and we continue to have a presence in our represented countries as listed below. We have scaled back our planned training programme, but we can react to requests for HEAT courses on a case by case basis. We are currently re-orientating our consultancy teams to focus on Pandemic Response Plans and remote Security Awareness Training.

We remain aware that during this pandemic crisis, many other risks such as road traffic accidents, crime, and civil unrest remain and have to be dealt with by our clients and us. We will continue to support our clients to the best of our abilities.  We continue to adapt our approach to this fast-moving and dynamic situation.”

Security Implications of Covid-19

Amid this unprecedented global pandemic, our clients are reminded that the potential social, economic, and civil impact of this situation should not be overlooked. Over the coming weeks and months, the inevitable economic and social upheaval caused by lock-downs and government restrictions has the potential to escalate into civil unrest, political violence, looting, and rising crime rates.

As such, Spearfish will be producing a regular newsletter to keep our clients up to date with the latest security-related implications of the COVID-19 pandemic, including information regarding unrest, crime, movement restrictions, and supply chain disruption in some of our key areas of operation.
